Amsterdam Living Lab New Year Resolution

25 jan 2019 15:00 - 17:00

An event about exploring the public perceptions of what Amsterdam Living Labs are today, and what role do they play in the future.

There’s a lot of talk about ‘Living Labs’ these days, but what does that mean exactly? What does it mean to you, to the community, to the citizens and our city? If you combine all the definitions, there are well over 40 “living labs” and hundreds of related experiments, tests, pilots and projects taking place now in Amsterdam. The City Innovation Exchange Lab (CITIXL), the CTO office of Amsterdam and partners are organizing a unique, fun and interactive event to ask some serious questions. We need to look at where living labs are, what role they play and what potential they have to really make a difference to peoples lives. We want insight into what living labs mean to to the city and how we can improve the way we work and communicate to become a more inclusive, more valuable resource and serve as a bridge to bring the city policies, science, business and the citizens needs together. As a “living lab” expert, leader or innovator, we want to hear from you! Help us answer questions like : What role do living labs play to test innovation that can make our Amsterdam Metropolitan Region more inclusive, resilient and responsive? How can we validate the many solutions with the people and by the people? How can these opinions inform future policy? How do living labs introduce technology to the city space? How do we guarantee that the technologies benefit common good?
