REPORT: IJburg Deep Map

A visualization of how a neighbourhood is felt and experienced

This report covers the process of creating a deep map for IJburg, which involved three phases: the
planning phase, the data gathering phase, and the product development phase. During the planning
phase, the concept of deep mapping was explored, and the research goals were determined. In the
data gathering phase, the researchers actively engaged with the community in IJburg and conducted
interviews with residents to gather data for the deep map. The product development phase involved
converting the qualitative data into a visual form for the deep map, which was done through a cocreation session with residents. The report also discusses the various concepts that contributed to the
final deep map of IJburg.
