Orientalism
Book by Edward Said
This book discusses the relationship between the Occident and the Orient. It focusses on the ways in which Europe views the Orient as its cultural contestant and therefore takes ownership over the way the Orient is represented in its society. The theories in this book are intertwined with colonialism.
