This research report (task 1.2) is related to step 1 of the New Stepped Strategy: ‘Reduce the energy demands of the district’. The report is a follow up of deliverable D1.1. A research report in which the current energy demands and characteristics of the neighbourhood were analysed. This report will be used as input for task 1.3 Reuse and task 1.4 Produce.
The objective of this research is to give insight into the potentials for a renewable energy plan of the Green Light District (1012 area Amsterdam). Therefore, this research follows the new stepped strategy:
-
Research: current building, energy and societal characteristics. Study performed in 2019, D1 T1.1
-
Reduce: reduce the energy demands
-
Reuse: use of residuals, heat recovery from water and air, exchange of energy between different functions and the use of energy storage systems
-
Produce: integration of PV panels and the use of renewable energy sources
