Phase 3: Finding a (part of the) solution/innovation to the challenge
Welcome to the final stage of our online portfolio! Throughout January, we focused on finalizing the project and developing innovative solutions. We documented our research findings and relevant literature in a comprehensive scientific report for the municipality. Furthermore, we created an informative flyer and conversation starter guide for healthcare professionals. These materials aim to address vaccine hesitancy by providing insights into various reasons behind it and offering guidance on how to navigate such discussions during consultations. We invite you to explore the outcomes of this final phase below!

Phase 2: Conducting research
Welcome to the second phase of our online portfolio! During November and December, we went deeper into the challenge we identified. We focused on doing formal research by collecting data through interviews and conducting a focus group with parents and health professionals. Our project, done with the Municipality of Amsterdam, is all about understanding why some parents are hesitant about vaccines for their children and how it relates to not trusting the government in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. Join us as we explore this important issue and try to make a difference in our community! Please find the results of this second phase below.

Phase 1: Engaging with the project topic
Welcome to our online portfolio showcasing our project with the municipality of Amsterdam! We're tackling important issues regarding growing vaccine hesitancy, focusing specifically on Amsterdam Nieuw-West. In our first phase, we've been busy brainstorming and planning. To get to know more about the topic of vaccine hesitancy and mistrust, we have conducted a problem- and policy analysis (which you can find below). These exercises helped us to dive deeper into the topic and identify a challenge/ research question to focus on during this project. Together, we've learned a lot about these topics and we're ready to take action. Check out our proposal below to see what our project is about!
