'Spectrum of skin infections'- Henry de Vries

From stigma to healthcare

Henry de Vries is professor by special appointment of Skin Infections, in particular leprosy, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Amsterdam. The chair was established because of the Q.M. Gastmann-Wichers Foundation.

In his inaugural text he discusses the spectrum of skin infections. On the one hand, de Vries discusses the history of the stigmata that are (or have been) surrounding skin infections, and on the other hand, the clinical side of skin infections and the healthcare that is, or should be, associated with them. De Vries' full profile can also be found here.
