Professors and PhD-candidates

Below you will find inaugural lectures from other municipal chairs and research projects by municipal PhD students.

The municipality of Amsterdam works closely with a number of professors, lecturers and fellows who are also employed by the municipality, or whose chairs and positions are partly financed by the municipality. In addition, the city has municipal PhD candidates who follow a PhD program at a university and make use of an municipal arrangement which allows them to spend part of their working hours on their research project.

In this collection you can also find the English and Dutch versions of the publication called Urban Regional Research Ecology, which describes how cooperation between local government, universities and other parties works, both in and in Amsterdam and (in the English version) in Europe.
