Adding Location, Address and Geo Data to an Article

Example video (for extensive step-by-step plan, see below)

1. Go to the article where location will be added and click on "Edit".

2. Find the "Location" section and click on "+voeg toe: location" button.

  • Adding a location will specify your article in the search results

3. A pop up window will open showing the different pre-defined locations that are installed in the Amsterdam Open Research homepage map. These locations are Stadsdelen of Amsterdam, Metropoolregio and City of Amsterdam.

  • If adding a location to your article is not possible or relevant, please leave this section empty

4. To add a specific address to the article, find the "Adres" section and expand it by clicking on the "+", on the right.

5. Add all available information to this section. To activate the Geodata (which will be explained in the next step), the address and city tab have to be filled.

6. To add Geodata to the article, find the "Geodata" section below the "Adres" and expand it by clicking on the "+", on the right.

7. If an address has been entered to the "Adres" section, click on "Set to Entered Address" button. The map will be automatically set to the given address.

8. Otherwise, it is possible to manually pick a spot from the map or type in the Latitute and Longitute.

9. When you are done with adding a location, click "Save" before leaving the page.
