Upscaling Energy Transition Approached to Mosques in the Netherlands

An energy transition is needed to achieve the 2050 climate goals. The Taibah mosque has the ambition to be the first energy-neutral mosque in the Netherlands. The knowledge obtained by the Taibah mosque in the process of realizing this may also be valuable for other mosques. A number of students have investigated how the sustainability strategy of the Taibah mosque can be scaled to other mosques in Amsterdam and the rest of the Netherlands. They developed a manual that provides insight to other mosques in the steps they can take. The results can be found in the research report. The manual they designed can be found in another article in this collection.
