Lab 1: Local smart energy systems
How can local electricity best be generated, stored and distributed as our electricity consumption increases? In the coming years, Amsterdam Southeast will be the test location for an innovative neighborhood energy platform: the LIFE City platform. The LIFE City platform stands for a Local Inclusive Future Energy City platform. This platform helps to manage the electricity grid - the local exchange, distribution and storage of electrical energy - in a smart way. In this living lab, a scalable energy platform is being developed in the ArenAPoort area and research is being conducted into local smart energy systems.
