Academic freedom in the Netherlands: a conceptual analysis and guidance

This conceptual analysis defines academic freedom in the context of Dutch science, explores its limits and maps out who bears what responsibility to safeguard it. In addition, it inventories which responsibilities academic freedom entails for science itself.
