Exploring COVID-19 vaccine confidence in the case of people with a Moroccan ethnic background in Amsterdam

Onderzoek naar de perceptie van de Marokkaanse gemeenschap in Amsterdam op vaccinatie tegen corona en de rol van vertrouwen

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected billions of people. The success of vaccination campaigns depends on vaccine acceptance and confidence among the general public. Ethnic and racial minorities seem less likely to intend to vaccinate against COVID-19. This requires special attention, given that these groups are disproportionately affected by the pandemic. In order to improve equity and ensure a high uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine, this research sought to provide insights into the perceptions of people with a Moroccan ethnic background about COVID-19 vaccination. These insights can be used to inform interventions and strategies to counteract vaccine hesitancy.
