Making choices for participation tools

How do you choose, as a participation professional, the tool that fits from the wide range of online and offline participation tools, i.e. that contributes to the goal of a participation process?

Existing scientific knowledge about citizen participation was used in this KIEM research project to develop tools for making well-founded choices for the use of offline or online participation tools. Practicing professionals can use these insights when designing a participation strategy. In this project, we collaborated with a number of practical partners and experts to gain insight to understand what is needed to make well-founded choices for a participation tool.
