Infodemic preparedness through social listening

Insight into (mis)information about measles vaccination

A pandemic, outbreak or crisis brings an abundance of information, including inaccurate and misleading information. This infodemic directly affects infectious disease control and can trigger doubt and resistance to vaccinating. Effective communication during vaccination campaigns is crucial to remove doubt and strengthen trust.

This project by GGD Amsterdam aims to obtain and report insights into themes that influence confidence and acceptance of measles vaccination in 2024.
By proactively deploying 'social listening', GGD Amsterdam aims to better understand information needs and misinformation around measles vaccination. Generating data-driven insights into the vaccination debate is essential for pandemic preparedness. The aim is to provide valuable insights for effective data-based communication.
