The significance of digital capital

A study into the digital capital of newly arrived young low-educated immigrants in Amsterdam

The aim of this study is to explore the challenges young low-educated immigrants encounter when they live in Amsterdam as a city with a substantial level of digitalisation. How complex are the difficulties they face and do they receive efficient support? How different are their digital experiences in Amsterdam from those in their country of origin? Are they familiar with websites of relevant organisations? By conducting scientific qualitative research, this contemporary issue is investigated.

This study is based upon the following research question: How does the digital capital of newly arrived young low-educated immigrants impact their experiences in Amsterdam?
