Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam

De Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam neemt met wetenschappelijk en waardengedreven onderwijs, onderzoek en valorisatie, verantwoordelijkheid voor mens en planeet. We leiden studenten en professionals op met kennis van zaken en 'A Broader Mind'. Onderzoek van de VU is grensverleggend, zowel binnen als tussen disciplines. Onze studenten en medewerkers staan als vrije denkers en met aandacht voor diversiteit, zingeving en medemenselijkheid in verbinding met elkaar en de samenleving. Dat is de missie van de VU.

Amsterdam UMC

Amsterdam UMC is een toonaangevend academisch medisch centrum dat kwalitatieve complexe patiëntenzorg combineert met vernieuwend wetenschappelijk onderzoek en onderwijs voor de volgende generatie zorgmedewerkers. Wij geloven dat gezondheidszorg, onderzoek en onderwijs bij elkaar horen, elkaar vormen en elkaar voeden.

Met ruim 16.000 mensen werken de twee locaties van Amsterdam UMC samen aan goede en toegankelijke zorg. Amsterdam UMC richt zich op een toekomst waarin ziekten kunnen worden voorkomen en waarin patiënten de beste behandeling krijgen. De nadruk ligt daarbij op de complexe behandeling van zeldzame aandoeningen.

In Amsterdam UMC leiden we duizenden jonge mensen op tot arts, specialist of verpleegkundige. Amsterdam UMC heeft acht onderzoeksinstituten. De daarbij aangesloten onderzoekers maken internationaal deel uit van de top van medisch-wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Door de samenwerking van Amsterdam UMC met andere ziekenhuizen in de regio Noord-Holland en Flevoland krijgt de patiënt de hoogste kwaliteit van zorg op de juiste plek. In Amsterdam UMC bieden we excellente academische patiëntenzorg, hoogstaand wetenschappelijk onderzoek en onderwijs & opleidingen op topniveau.

Amsterdam UMC is ontstaan uit de (bestuurlijke) fusie van de twee academische ziekenhuizen van Amsterdam, het Academisch Medisch Centrum (AMC) en het VU medisch centrum (VUmc) in 2018. Amsterdam UMC vertegenwoordigt de medische faculteiten van de twee geassocieerde universiteiten: de Universiteit van Amsterdam en de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Locatie: Amsterdam Science Park

Amsterdam Science Park huisvest een groot aantal wetenschappelijke topinstituten van de Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO), de bèta faculteit van UvA en VU, Amsterdam University College en meer dan 120 (high-tech) bedrijven. Hiermee is Amsterdam Science Park het grootste bèta-cluster van Nederland. De aanwezigheid van een van de grootste internetknooppunten ter wereld, de AMS-IX, maakt Amsterdam Science Park tot een aantrekkelijke locatie voor (internationale) onderzoeksprojecten en bedrijven.

AMS Institute

AMS Institute is a public-private institute founded in 2014 by Wageningen University & Research and Delft University of Technology, together with Massachusetts Institute of Technology. We are a young and ambitious international institute at the forefront of innovation, situated at the nexus between industry, government and academia. Engaging and developing the latest technology and science with research, experiments and projects in the city of Amsterdam, we take on the challenges posed by our rapidly urbanizing world.

The mission of AMS Institute is to develop a deep understanding of the city – sense the city – to design solutions for its challenges, and integrate these into the city of Amsterdam. Our research portfolio revolves around applied technology in themes such as smart urban mobility, urban energy, climate resilience, metropolitan food systems, circular economy, urban data & intelligence. AMS Institute is involved in over 80 projects aiming to create a prosperous and vital city. Now and in the future.

What makes AMS Institute unique is the valorization of research in practice, using the city of Amsterdam as a living lab. Amsterdam provides a valuable context for experiments that help to develop and test advanced solutions for challenges in urbanized metropolitan areas around the globe. Master's program Metropolitan Analysis Design & Engineering (MSc MADE) is the latest addition to AMS Institute's educational activities. It aims to provide innovative education and deliver highly skilled interdisciplinary engineers with the theoretical grounding and practical experience to deal with the complex challenges of cities.

Inholland University of Applied Sciences

Inholland levert een bijdrage aan de uitdagingen in de Randstad. Van de kop van Noord-Holland tot de Drechtsteden. Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences

The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences was founded in 1808 as an advisory body to the Dutch Government – a role that it continues to play today. The Academy derives its authority from the quality of its members, who represent the full spectrum of scientific and scholarly endeavour and are selected on the basis of their achievements. It is also responsible for fourteen internationally renowned institutes whose research and collections put them in the vanguard of Dutch science and scholarship.

As the forum, conscience, and voice of the arts and sciences in the Netherlands, the Academy promotes quality in science and scholarship and strives to ensure that Dutch scholars and scientists contribute to cultural, social and economic progress. As a research organisation, the Academy is responsible for a group of outstanding national research institutes. It promotes innovation and knowledge valorisation within these institutes and encourages them to cooperate with one another and with university research groups.
