A promising trend in enhancing energy efficiency, sustainability and environmental stewardship is the utilization of waste heat from data centers. This heat can be used in low temperature district heating networks. This thesis investigates the potential of this technique in Amsterdam Southeast. It is concluded that data centers are a reliable source of waste heat. Also, the integration of waste heat from data centers into heating networks is explored, along with the potential of these heating networks in neighborhoods undergoing refurbishments. The findings could inspire similar research for large data centers across diverse regions.
