Shaping principles for a low-traffic city

Appendix Agenda Amsterdam Autoluw

Based on the Amsterdam Low-Car Agenda, we are making room for a liveable and accessible city. It is a city where it is pleasant to live, work and recreate. Where residents enjoy themselves, workers like to get to work and holidaymakers enjoy their stay. A city on a human scale that is easily accessible and where the public space looks attractive.

The area-specific ambitions and starting points for a low-traffic Amsterdam have been established in the Amsterdam Low-Car Agenda. In this chapter, this is translated into design principles and design options that provide insight into what a low-traffic street or neighborhood can look like.
