Re-assessing the dissatisfied volatile voter
Voters who gain more confidence in parliament and the government during a term of office often give their vote again to a ruling party in new elections. With a majority of purchases, this confidence is steadily declining. These transactions switch to an opposition party in the case of several. Trust and come together here, says Remko Voogd (NWO TOP grant), because government parties are judged on this. diminished trust is therefore not necessarily a bad thing, argues an element of a temporarily functioning democracy.
