28 January - European Data Protection Day

January 28 is the annual European Data Protection Day. This day was set in 2007 by the Council of Europe to inform European citizens about the use of personal data by various organizations. And to encourage companies and organizations to improve the protection of personal data. The date has been chosen for January 28, the day on which the first Data Protection Convention was signed in 1981. Also outside of Europe, privacy protection is now central to this day and it has become an international day for privacy protection.
