Challenge proposal - Vaccine hesitancy and growing governmental mistrust

In this challenge proposal, we integrated our findings from our problem analysis, policy analysis, and photo voice exercise we conducted to gain insights into vaccine hesitancy in parents from Amsterdam Nieuw-West. In collaboration with Gemeente Amsterdam, we will look into the relation between growing governmental mistrust and vaccine hesitancy of parents in Amsterdam Nieuw-West.

Currently, there is insufficient knowledge about the reasons behind governmental mistrust in parents from Amsterdam Nieuw-West who are hesitant about getting their children vaccinated. To address this thesis statement, in-person interviews with parents who are hesitant about vaccinating their children from Amsterdam
Nieuw-West will be conducted to gain valuable insights.
