Re-StORe (AMS Institute)

In this collection you can find the project description and two reports of the Re-StORe project.

Re-StORe focuses on the entire chain of collection, processing and valorisation, and looks at two specific processing technologies for urban organic waste: composting and bio-fermenting. It will be investigated which sustainability indicators are decisive to make choices and design solutions and how sustainability effects can be made measurable in practice. Re-StORe follows five existing cases, examines which value is created and how changes in the design (technical and organizational) can influence this value. Knowledge from the cases is used for research into design rules for waste systems: on what scale? And which actors? Which partnerships? What impact do the systems have in the economic, ecological and social areas?
