Water in the city council

Amsterdam is a water city. From the Golden Age until now, the water in and around the city has been one of the most important reasons for existence and determines to a large extent the identity and attractiveness of the city. It is therefore very important to handle the water and the aquatic ecosystem in our city with care, while at the same time protecting ourselves against the flooding caused by extreme weather conditions.
