Ivan Martinez

Artist and Book Designer

Iván Martínez is an artist and book designer based in Mexico City. He studied graphic design at the UAM Xochimilco in Mexico City and attained a Masters in Typography at ArtEZ / Werkplaats Typografie, (Arnhem, 2013–2015) and his postgraduate studies at the Jan van Eyck Academie (Maastricht, 2016–2017). His current work focuses on the development of fictitious narratives and speculative publications on the aesthetics of rumor and its mechanisms of propagation and modification. He is the author and designer of the publications, Megaphone News, The Sunken School, and Unusual Persecutions.
