How do Dutch people experience digital technologies and their own influence on their standardization?

Most Dutch citizens are positive about digital technologies, but are also concerned, especially about their security and privacy. At the same time, they don't think they can influence the development of standards for digital technologies, regardless of how self-reliant they are. These are some of the conclusions from the research paper below, authored by the University of Amsterdam in cooperation with I&O Research.

The research paper was written in the context of the research project IN-SIGHT (2020-2024), funded by NWO, which focuses on the role of public values in (the development of) digital technologies.
