Science with Society Festival 2023

On the 20th and 22nd of June 2023, we organized the science communication festival Science with Society. During this festival, residents, welfare organizations, policy makers, students and scientists will engage in conversations to find fair and effective solutions for complex societal issues, related to energy transition, mental health, green living spaces and local food production.

On June 20th, the central event took place in the OBA Oosterdok. This event focused on entertainment, exchange, inspiration and interaction between organizations, researchers, residents and students.

Additionally, on June 22nd, several dialogue sessions took place at OBA locations in Banne Buiksloot, Geuzenveld, Ganzenhouf and Javaplein. The goal of these conversations between residents, local organizations and policy makers was to further concretize the approach and to examine if the issues at hand are being approach in the right way.
