In the AISSR/UvA research project ‘Solidarity in the 21st Century'we wanted to find out whether ethnic diversity really matters. We played a solidarity game with visitors to the multi ethnic Dappermarket in Amsterdam. In this way we sought an answer to the question: Are individuals with a different ethnic background willing to share money with each other? And does the ethnic composition of the group influence the amount they are willing to share?
