Urban Dynamics Researcher and Research Collaborator WahV

Carolyn Smith is an urban dynamics researcher and an alumnus of the University of Cambridge. She works on a variety of interdisciplinary projects for both We are here Venice and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. We are here Venice is a not-for-profit organisation which advocates for an evidence-based and solution-focused approach to defining a sustainable future for the city. She has written extensively about tourism, political agency and the city’s challenges with identity and depopulation. Her work for Ca’ Foscari’s Department of Economics to brings a spatial understanding to the Urban Development team.
