Boosting the circular built environment in the Eurodelta

At this ASSET Meet and Learn webinar, presenter Dr Kai Böhme, Spatial Foresight, Germany. He tells us about What Circular Economy means for territorial cohesion in Europe?

Speaker:

Kai Böhme, founder and director of Spatial Foresight, specialised in European regional and territorial research and policies, international comparative studies in the fields of regional development policies, spatial planning, and in the territorial impacts of sector policies.

Lecture:

Spatial Foresight is a private consultancy and independent think tank in the area of European territorial policies and research. Foresight encompasses a range of approaches that combine strategic analysis, prospective forward thinking and process oriented dialogical work. It is often argued that Europe’s territorial structure under a place based circular economy would differ from the one we know today. It would imply dramatic changes for all parts of Europe and also affect urbanisation and territorial balance. At a European level, the differences between strong socio-economic areas and the lagging regions may decline under a place based circular economy. Or it bring completely different territorial implications.
