As we conclude, the third year of Next Generation Podium for Eurodelta in June 2023, this catalog compiles the students/ participants contributions to the Eurodelta.
Our journey started from scratch, with a focus on empowering young planners and designers in transnational planning and development. We’ve learned from each other and we look forward to continue this relationship and exchange.
This catalog showcases the collective efforts and insights gained during Next Generation Podium for Eurodelta 2023, emphasizing the importance of involving the youth in the shaping of our urban environments. Online workshop (11-12 may)
The two-day working conference will see students working in groups to develop their strategic spatial plan for the megaregion. They will work together within their chosen themes under supervision from experts in the field, mentoring and guiding the process throughout. The process involves the students working through different scales starting at the local/city (project scale) to create an idea that can then be up-scaled to the regional/cross-border level (planning scale) and then finally studying its impact on the mega-regional scale (impact scale). Together, this will result in a strategic plan that can be implemented across multiple scales and timelines.
Lunch forums ( 20-22 march)
The lunch forums that were conducted online by researchers and practitioners within the Eurodelta focused on three critical themes – Circular Delta, Accessible Delta and Eurodelta. This years symposium included 6 open office days (in-person) and provided a diverse and insightful set of options across the Eurodelta where participants could both learn and network.

After the success of the first two editions in 2021 and 2022 , we are hosting a third edition of the Next Generation Podium to continue to explore further the future developments of the Eurodelta. This edition is a program open to students, young researchers and professionals working in the field of architecture, design, urban studies, economic geography and spatial planning. Unlike the previous two editions of the symposium, this years edition will be split across two separate weeks with the online lecture series that took place between the 20th and 22nd of March while the online workshop will take place between the 11th and 12th of May.
