Global Resilient Cities Network

The new Global Resilient Cities Network (GRCN) emerges from the 100 Resilient Cities Program with a unique reach, strength and legacy to understand and support the challenges of the ever-growing urban society. GRCN is the city-led organization that will drive urban resilience action to protect vulnerable communities from climate change and other physical, social and economic urban adversities and challenges.

The GRCN is guided by four main principles:
1. City-led: mayors, city leaders and CROs will participate in the governance of the network.
2. Impact-focused: the work will prioritize resilient projects that aim to improve the lives of the poor and vulnerable.
3. Regionally-driven: activities will be designed with more flexibility to cater to member cities’ needs.
4. Partnership-based network: to attain self-sustainability in the near future.
