I personally believe that Amsterdam has a lot to offer to a wide range of people with different interests, backgrounds and dreams. In a few years to come I imagine that A’dam will expand in terms of population, job opportunities, recreational activities and diversity. At the moment I do not miss anything in particular, since I feel 100% connected with the city. However, I just wish to speak fluent Dutch so that I will have more chances to get to know local people.
I think that something that could benefit A’dam is a re-thinking of the tourism. In other words, I would love to live the city center without huge amounts of tourists which mainly come in the NL for drugs, alcohol and sex. My opinion therefore is in line with what the A’dam council is currently planning to do. I believe the NL has much more to offer to tourists in terms of arts, architecture, museums, music and of course…canals
