Alma Perissinotti

Graphic Artist

Some of the topics that I’m interested to research and develop in the Lab are identity, nature, belonging, colonialism, food and the places where they connect sharing a common ground with the notion of rhythm as an organic movement with changing rhythmical pattern.

To give a short insight about my work and myself, I’m a visual Artist based in Amsterdam Zuidoost. I’m a graduated from Facultad de Artes Plasticas at Universidad Nacional de Cordoba (UNC) in Argentina. My specialization is Print Making and Graphic Arts. I mainly work as a photographer, designer and illustrator for hire on a freelance basis. As many working artists, I try to set aside some time to work on some personal artistic projects as interrogations that arise from the narratives that I experience within my daily life and the contexts where I move. On my perspective Art, cannot be disconnected from life and it becomes more rich when the source of its subject is influenced by it. Most of my personal projects involve Nature and politics as its main conceptual sources. I’m interested to observe and document how the relationship with it is manifested from culture to culture.
