Historisch Amsterdam isoleren met natuurlijke materialen ~Historic Amsterdam insulated with natural materials

LIFE BIOMATINE stimuleert de toepassing van biobased isolatiematerialen in gebouwen. Biobased isolatie biedt veel voordelen: een lagere CO₂-uitstoot, hernieuwbaar materiaalgebruik en een gezonder binnenklimaat.

In Amsterdam worden de mogelijkheden zichtbaar in de Tasmanblokken en de Centrale Markthal. Door te laten zien dat biobased isolatie zelfs in monumenten toepasbaar is, stimuleert het project grootschalige inzet, met als uiteindelijk doel brede toepassing.

Het project, medegefinancierd door de Europese Unie, omvat de isolatie van 1.500 sociale woningen en 10 monumenten, goed voor een besparing meer dan 350.000 kilo CO₂-uitstoot. Duurzaamheid, inclusiviteit en esthetiek komen samen in dit initiatief, dat deel uitmaakt van de nieuwe Europese Bauhaus-beweging.

Onder leiding van Amsterdamse experts dragen de opgedane kennis en ervaring dragen bij aan innovatie en de overgang naar biobased bouwen.

LIFE BIOMATINE promotes the use of bio-based insulation materials in buildings. Bio-based insulation offers many advantages: lower CO₂ emissions, renewable resources, and a healthier indoor climate.

In Amsterdam, its potential is demonstrated in the Tasmanblokken and the Centrale Markthal. By showcasing that bio-based insulation is feasible even in heritage buildings, the project encourages large-scale adoption, with the ultimate goal of widespread application.

Co-funded by the European Union, the project involves insulating 1,500 social housing units and 10 monuments, resulating in savings of more than 350,000 kilograms of CO₂ emissions. Bringing together sustainability, inclusivity, and aesthetics, it is part of the New European Bauhaus movement.

Led by Amsterdam-based experts, the project's knowledge and experience contribute to innovation and the transition toward bio-based construction.
