Examples of citizen science projects

Every citizen of Amsterdam can contribute to science! See below in which ways citizens can help doing research.

As a citizen scientist you can help collect data in many projects, but you can also contribute experiential knowledge. There is some counting down in gardens: birds, frogs, plants, and so on. You can also do all kinds of things behind the computer: analyze (satellite) images for archaeological research or play a game to help medicine advance. Even a household chore such as doing laundry can be part of a study on microplastics. In this collection we collect examples of citizen science projects.

There is of course much more happening outside our city in the field of Citizen Science. These projects are also collected here.
