Dossier: Circular Economy

From 6 to 11 February it's the Week of the Circular Economy. In this collection, openresearch provides an overview of this theme.

'Circular' is a commonly used term. In this collection, openresearch provides an overview of the various ways in which circularity is discussed and contributes to a circular economy. The circular economy refers to an economic system in which the value of products and materials is preserved for as long as possible and waste and the use of resources are kept to a minimum. Resources or products are also kept in the economy at the end of their lifespan, so that they can be reused several times and thus continue to be of value.

In this collection you can read how the City of Amsterdam is implementing the government-wide program 'Nederland Circulair 2050', and which tools (instruments) exist and are used that contribute to this objective.
