Zine about the potential of Urban Grassroots Food Initiatives (UGFIs) (AMS Institute)

By Xiaoxu Yang Toon Groenendijk, Aida Acosta Corea, Bauke Bramer, Jesse Burgering, Stan Pepels and Tabita Slimmens

This zine was produced in the context of an 8-week ACT (Academic Consultancy Training) project by students of Wageningen University.

The zine visualizes relevant information about UGFIs and their importance in relation to realizing the ambitions of the Doughnut Economy.

A zine is a “self-published, non-commercial print-work that is typically produced in small, limited batches” (“What is a Zine?” n.d.). Moreover, zines or DIY (do-it-yourself) magazines differ from traditional forms of media, given that they are usually hand-made through techniques such as drawings, collages, and handwritten information.
