As part of AMS’ ‘The Feeding City’ research program at Flevo Campus Almere, we are testing the extent to which gardening can help cancer patients in meeting the norms of physical activity and fruit and vegetable
intake. And to what extent gardening in a group can function as a form of social support. This is a pilot
research program to examine the physical and mental effects gardening can have on recovering cancer
patients.
