Cultural and Creative Spaces and Cities (CCSC) is a policy project co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. The project brings together a consortium of ten organisations led by Trans Europe Halles, the European network of non-governmental cultural centres.

With this project, we aim to prove that creativity, arts and culture can transform public spaces and cities. During two and a half years—from November 2018—, we have connected cultural and creative spaces with local policy-makers through participatory processes.

At the core of this project, there are 7 Urban Labs based in seven European cities. Each one of them groups together non-governmental cultural organisations and local/regional authorities, as well as other relevant stakeholders. Their goal is to address local challenges together and find participatory and commoning solutions to them.

From October 2018 to March 2019, we organised 2 international conferences, 21 workshops, 14 traineeships, 5 urban explorations, 3 co-creative policy events, etc.
