Final report on roofscapes

An assessment report on the potential for both electricity production and green roofs

The goal of the workplan 2019 is to conduct a study on biodiversity potential on roofs for energy production and green spaces. With this work package we tap into the potential of nature inclusive building and the power of biodiversity and nature based solutions. By using our innovative approach to add green spaces on roofs, facades and street level, we improve the climate resilience of the historic city center. At the same time we increase quality of life for its inhabitants, decrease CO2 footprint through carbon sequestration and make buildings cooler. Mapping the area enables us to target quick wins, so we can maximize impact during the 2,5 years of this project. Our goal is to get projects started that together will add at least 10.000 m2 of green space to the Green Light District.
