Waste and food waste – Dossier Food

In the Netherlands, a quarter of our food is wasted every year. This happens throughout the whole food chain, from production to consumption. Most food waste occurs at the household level, almost half of all food that is thrown away. How can we ensure that food waste is reduced at every step in the food chain? And how can we deal with residual flows in a sustainable and circular way?
