Julia Ubeda
PhD candidate at TU Delft
Julia Ubeda’s expertise lies at the intersection between urban planning and spatial data analysis and visualisation. She is currently a PhD candidate in Industrial Design Engineering department at TU Delft. She imparted Urban Analytics in the minor Data Science at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. She worked for the Traffic and Public Space Department of the City of Amsterdam where she designed, prototyped and tested the methodology of the “walkability maps”, now available at maps.amsterdam.nl. Her particular interest is the exploration, design and development of digital tools that facilitate or support the urban policy making processes by using geo-data and spatial data visualizations.
