Many students conduct research in the city. Openresearch.amsterdam encourages students to publish their thesis when they have done relevant research for the city. The word "relevant" should be understood in the broadest sense here. Several knowledge institutions have special programs for education and research in the city. Together, research will be conducted in the coming years into how and rich learning environment in the city can best be shaped. In cooperation with the various knowledge institutions, structural investments are also being made in Amsterdam's innovation climate in which students play a major role.
