The “We Are Local” initiative in Hungary promotes sustainable food systems by connecting local producers with consumers and fostering community engagement. The student project identified a gap in reaching young urban populations, especially university students, who were not effectively engaged due to digital, cultural, and geographical barriers. To address this, students designed a targeted Instagram campaign using Canva templates, storytelling, and stakeholder mapping to boost awareness and inclusivity.

Their interdisciplinary approach combined communication strategy, public health, regional identity, and marketing. Although the campaign hasn't yet been implemented, the project delivered a ready-to-use toolkit and strategy for reaching younger audiences more effectively, with potential to expand to other platforms like TikTok in the future.
