This pitch is part of the seminar "On research, policy and design," which was held on June 26, 2025. During the seminar, several municipal officials and PhD students at the University of Amsterdam presented their doctoral research into, with, and for the city. They discussed these topics, among others, with the former and current Chief Science Officer of the City of Amsterdam. Juan-Carlos Goilo received his PhD in 2024 on 'Information actors beyond modernity and coloniality in times of climate change'. In this he was supervised by Prof. Dr. C.I.M.
