The Amsterdam Progress Monitor Prevention with Authority 2024 gives an overview of all efforts from Prevention with Authority and how they have progressed in 2024. For this purpose, interviews were held with professionals involved in these efforts. We also looked at whether it makes sense and is possible to expand certain efforts or start new initiatives with the Prevention with Authority resources. Prevention with Authority is deployed in Amsterdam where, on top of existing efforts and policies, more is needed to prevent young growth in drug crime and to break criminal careers. The deployment of the Prevention with Authority resources is coordinated from the Safety and Care Action Center. The Ministry of Justice and Security is investing in it.
