"Hello all,

Who ever worries about the declining vaccination rate among children? Well, is mainly I think for a quick moment... eighty, seventy, eighty percent. And a second question: who among you has any idea how children and young people themselves think about their health? Ugh... Very little. Less than ten percent.

We are a knowledge network, for almost twenty years for youth and health in and around Amsterdam. We do research, teach, organize internships, innovate, evaluate, and work in the practice of youth health care, i.e. at the consultation office, at primary and secondary schools.

How do we know what we know? We do so in three ways.
First, by using the data that is collected every day in youth health care. This is why we know, for example, that mothers who are pregnant young and have a child before age 26 are much less likely to choose the whooping cough shot during pregnancy, the 22-week shot, than all other mothers.
Two. We always do research together with professionals in the field, so that they actually benefit from it.
And third, and not least important. We always do research together with children, adolescents and parents. For example, you know children think it's important to be healthy. And they also want to know a lot about that. But they hate health risks.

Come see us on the first balcony on the right. Thank you."
