19. G4-USER

"Hello: homeless people, drug users, misunderstood behavior, housing pollution. We see it on the streets. We read about it in the newspapers. Vulnerable, often socially excluded groups with complex problems
such as psychiatry, addiction, debt and unable to get out of this themselves. The municipality makes policy for these groups, works together with numerous care organizations to provide appropriate help. Still, many fall between the cracks and current knowledge is very important for more appropriate care. And the Amsterdam Municipal Health Service has been researching these kinds of issues for decades and for fifteen years in the Academic Workshop G4-USER - Urban Social Exclusion Research.

A unique collaboration of four big cities, so we can learn from each other in the best possible way. We map the so called excluded target groups, the system around them and the help and on the slide are examples of this. Together we research for the city where everyone has a place.
