"Yes, I must say, it does energize me. From that there is so much research. And I also get energy from the Energie Lab Zuidoost. I'm in area development in Amsterdam Southeast and together with Mark Kauw of the AMS Institute, I run the Energy Lab. What we do is link research to area development in order to accelerate the social energy transition in Southeast. And what actually makes us unique is that we created a manifesto. About a year ago we are now testing out that all the researchers who do research in Southeast that they also give something back. So there are some researchers, but also students, who have become, for example, energy coaches for !WOON and others who give advice to neighborhood organizations with all their cleverness. Well, we are in 2020 we saw through the area development that of course more buildings are added, more energy is used. All those parties also want to become more sustainable. Also costs electricity and so we saw grid congestion coming. So five years ago we started the LIFE project and that's, well, that's almost completed now. So in March is the final conference and you see, with the research results, an energy hub is now being set up with the Green Business Club. So that research is also going further into practice now and Alliander, for example, has developed a neighborhood scan, an energy neighborhood scan that will soon also be rolled out nationwide. And we managed to do that in Amsterdam.

We are also working on biobased high-rise buildings and that is because in construction, of course, we have to deal with nitrogen and CO2 emissions and so we actually have to move more towards biobased materials. There, within1.5 years we developed a Paris Proof Tender procedure together with the four big municipalities. Uh, well, so those also continue.

We are going to do further follow-up research on that as well. Bas will also be upstairs with us in a moment on the second balcony to explain a bit about that. We have five major research projects, 37 graduate students, an annual seminar with over eighty people, and we continue to build on impact.

Well, more information can be found on openresearch and so we are on the second balcony and uh well, I think, I have the idea all those parties that we work with that are also under there that we actually get a lot of energy from this. Thank you."
