City Council Dec. 11, 2024

In December 2023, the 30 km/h measure was introduced in the city. On a large number of area connector roads, the speed limit was reduced from 50 to 30 km/h. These have become so-called GOW30 roads. These are roads with relatively high traffic volumes, but where the residential function is given greater priority. A total of about 4,500 traffic signs have been installed and 140 traffic lights have been reset. In the course of 2024, more than 200 kilometers of markings will also be adjusted. The measure should contribute to the higher goals of a safe, livable and accessible city.
